Over the last few years, the Coney Island Freakshow has been expanding its reach outside of its Brooklyn home — the future of which is in doubt, of course — with shows in various Manhattan venues. On Monday, February 1, the weird and wonderful freakshow makes its way into Times Square with the world premiere of the Coney Island Girlie Freakshow, at B. B. King’s for a one-night-only performance. On the bill are fire-breathing, razor-swallowing singer Angelica (Insectivora), snake charmer and contortionist Serpentina (who has also been known to hang out in electric chairs and on a bed of nails), bartender, Blade Box Girl, and knife thrower Kryssy Kocktail, the Bearded Lady Jennifer Miller, and contortionist duo the Pain-Proof Rubber Girls.
