The Drama Desk — of which twi-ny is a voting member — will be holding its annual spring discussion and luncheon on March 22 at Sardi’s, featuring an all-star lineup talking about “The Art of Storytelling.” The prestigious panel consists of a quintet of award-winning actors who are currently or have recently appeared on Broadway: David Hyde Pierce and Kristine Nielsen from Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Ellen Burstyn and Elizabeth Marvel from Picnic, and Jayne Houdyshell from Dead Accounts. The discussion will be moderated by Drama Desk member Ronald Rand, the founder and publisher of the quarterly magazine The Soul of the American Actor. Lunch begins at 11:45, followed by the talk from about 1:15 to 2:30. Tickets must be purchased in advance, no later than Tuesday, March 19, at 10:00 am, for what should be an entertaining and enlightening afternoon.
