As the U.S. Open men’s finals approach, the only tickets to be had are resale only, beginning at $233 apiece. (Yes, even the regular $1,500 seats are sold out; this is New York, you know.) The same can’t be said about the women’s finals, where tickets at nearly all price points, starting at $117, are available, although all of the $1,500 and $994 courtside seats are gone. But if you want to watch the championship matches outside among a tennis-loving crowd without going broke, you can head over to Bryant Park, which has been broadcasting live every day from Flushing Meadows, for free. On Saturday, Bryant Park will present the men’s semifinals at 12 noon, featuring #1 seed and 2011 winner Novak Djokovic against #10 Kei Nishikori, followed by #14 Marin Čilić taking on #2 Roger Federer. On Sunday at 4:30, five-time champion and top seed Serena Williams battles #10 Caroline Wozniacki for the women’s crown, while the winners of the men’s semis will fight for the title on Monday at 5:00.
